Adult Uniform Left Side/Knot Insignia Den Leader Coach (Training) Award

Den Leader Coach (Training) Award

NOTE: The Den Leader Coach (Training) Award can no longer be earned. This page is being kept for historical reasons and to explain how to wear the old Award knot emblems on the current and former Scouter uniforms. The position which was called "Den Leader Coach" is now called "Pack Trainer" and there are DIFFERENT requirements and a different award and square knot insignia for that award.

Description: Old uniform knot emblem is composed of a gold (yellow) and light blue rope on a blue background tied in a square knot, with the light blue rope worn to the wearer's right as shown. The present uniform emblem is composed of a light blue square knot on a medium blue background.

Note that old uniform knot emblem is now used for a different Scouting award, and there are still holders of the old version of the award wearing the older square knot on the uniform.

The colors blue and gold are the colors of Cub Scouting; the former award symbolically "tied together" the den leaders at the WEBELOS and "traditional dens" together as Den Leader Coaches train and coach all Den Leaders in the Pack. New knot emblem matches blue ribbon of award medallion.
